This is a page that can answer users frequently asked questions and concerns.

🌍 What is this server?

United Lands is a geopolitical simulation server, set on a 1:500 scale map of the Earth. We have many unique features such as war, economy, custom items, and dungeons.

❓ What should I do?

Since we are a geopolitical server, it's generally recommended to either start or settle in a town and start interacting with the wider world. Information on Towny can be found in our dedicated guide.

Before playing, make sure you read our Rules. Once you're happy, take a look around spawn and do some of our interactive tutorials to get a baseline understanding of our core mechanics.

Then it's time to venture out! Leave spawn with /warp and go to somewhere on Earth or the resource worlds.

💰 How do I earn money?

We have several ways for players to earn money, but the main method is by trading. Find NPC settlements across the Earth map and sell them desired items for cash. Make sure to equip a job while you work to gain experience for job skills.

🏠 How do I claim land?

Our primary method of land protection is Towny, so to claim land you'll need to start a town. First gather 8,000G and then go to the place you want to settle. Run the command /t new [Town Name]. Once your town is founded you must deposit any extra money you have with /t deposit [Amount] to ensure it doesn't go bankrupt. You can add residents with /t add [Username] and claim more land with /t claim.

For players new to multiplayer Minecraft or Towny, it's recommended to first join a town instead of founding one, they're a lot of work to manage!

⛏️ Why can't I mine below y45 on Earth?

In short, it is to ensure the longevity of the Earth map and prevent a reset for as long as possible.

Earth is a custom map with custom ore generation, it is far, far, far more densely packed than that of a vanilla map and as such can cause major problems for a server's economy.

To prevent this we have implemented a simple rule. If your town does not own the land, it cannot mine it, keeping the map fresh for new players for many years.

🎨 How do I enable the server resource pack?

If you didn't get prompted upon first login or chose not to enable it here you can see how to turn it on manually.

• First, go to your "Server Listings" in the "Multiplayer" tab on the main menu.

• Click on United Lands and then select "Edit" in the bottom left corner.

• In the editor, change your "Server Resource Pack" to "Enabled" or "Prompt".

  • Enabled will automatically download the resource packs when you join a lobby

  • Prompt will ask you before the download begins.

• Click "Done" to save your settings.
