# Gradient Chat

Gradiented chat is the most optimal way to make your speech stand out! Choose from a wide variety of pre-set options - anything from rainbows to satisfying red-blue transitions at a cost of €5. Or if you're really feeling fancy buy the deluxe version and set your own gradient for €15. It is purchasable from our [store](https://shop.unitedlands.net/category/251344).

Gradiented chat will only be visible in **global chat**. All other channel types will retain their usual colouring to avoid confusion. 

## Commands

* `/gradient on/off` Toggles your gradient on or off.
* `/gradient info` Prints information regarding your currently selected gradient.
* `/gradient [preset]` Enables the selected pre-set gradient. 
* `/gradient [#hex 1]:[#hex 2]....` Set a custom gradient with the defined hexes.

## Further Info

When setting a custom gradient, ensure that the hash symbol ( # ) is included and different hexes are separated by only a colon ( : ). Custom gradients support an unlimited amount of hexes so you can allow your creativity to be untethered. 

Please ensure that custom gradients are at the very least legible, **Staff retain the right to ask you to change it if text is difficult to read or unreasonably ugly**.
