# Custom Prefixes
Show off your personality with a custom prefix!

## Description
Prefixes are a cosmetic component in chat that comes after your rank and before your username. There are many prefixes you can unlock through normal gameplay, winning events, or unlocking certain roles.
However, if none of these appeal to you, you are able to purchase up to three custom prefix slots. With a custom prefix, **you** decide what it says, what colours it has, any emojis, and all other formatting choices - all made super easy with our in-game prefix editor and previewer. You can have up to three custom prefixes at one time, purchased individually.

## Tutorial
Use this tutorial to create your new custom prefix exactly as you imagined it.

### Open the Editor
Once a slot has been purchased, navigate to the custom prefix GUIs through the sponsor or prefixes menus. Then, click the slot you wish to edit.

### Create Your Prefix
Once the editor is open, use the text box below to create your prefix.
* You can use multiple words in your prefix, up to 24 characters (Excluding formatting codes).
* Most standard Minecraft [formatting codes](https://minecraft.wiki/w/Formatting_codes) and [MiniMessage codes](https://docs.papermc.io/adventure/minimessage/format) are accepted.
* **You cannot use obfuscated formatting or interactive components like click or hover-over effects.**
* Hex codes are also accepted, using the format <#\[Hex]> or \&#\[Hex]. For example, <#FFAA00> or \&#FFAA00 for gold.
* Emojis, if also owned, can be used via their alias and appear properly in prefixes.
**Make sure to click preview before finishing to check the prefix looks how you want it to.** If an error was made please contact a member of Staff and they will reset it at their discretion.
Once happy, click Save!

### Equip
Once the prefix is saved, it is usable at any time via the menu.

## Rules
Though this is a sponsor perk, there are still rules and restrictions you must follow when using the feature. Breaching any of these may result in punishments - including **removal of the perk entirely**. There are no refunds so ensure you understand these **before** buying.
1. Follow server-wide rules regarding content - **inappropriate uses are not allowed**.
2. Do not use obnoxious colouring or formatting, keep all prefixes readable.
