# Chat Colours
Customise your chat, your way.

## Description
Chatting is one of the most frequent things someone can do on a Minecraft server - especially a geopolitical one - so why not show off a little? Pick out your favourite colour and have your chat always show it. Or, if you can't pick just one - set multiple colours and have your text gradient dynamically between up to three.

Use this tutorial to get the most out of our chat editor and get the perfect look.

### Open the Editor
Once a slot has been purchased, navigate to the chat colour GUIs through the sponsor menu. Then, click the slot you wish to edit.

### Create Your Chat Colours
Once the editor is open, use the text boxes to input your desired hex codes.
* You can use up to three hex codes in one chat slot. You are required to define at least one, but the remaining two are optional.
* Provide only one hex code for a solid colour chat.
* Provide two or more codes to have a gradient between them.
* Use the format #\[Hex]. For example: #FFAA00 for gold.
* You cannot use illegible or hard to see colours, like #000000. Most common colours will be blocked by the filter, but Staff can overrule if necessary. **Ensure all text is readable at all times.**
**Make sure to click preview before finishing to check the text looks how you want it to.** If an error was made please contact a member of Staff and they will reset it at their discretion.
Once happy, click Save!

### Equip
Once the chat colour is saved, it is accessible at any time through the menu.

## Rules
Though this is a sponsor perk, there are still rules and restrictions you must follow when using the feature. Breaching any of these may result in punishments - including **removal of the perk entirely**. There are no refunds so ensure you understand these **before** buying.
1. Follow server-wide rules regarding content - **inappropriate uses are not allowed**.
2. Do not use obnoxious or illegible colours, keep all chat easily readable.
